Mr Uzo Udemba,

Shortly after graduating with Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the university of Nigeria Nsukka, setup his own business fifty years afterwards in 1993; a Civil Engineering consulting firm which later extended to other sectors of the knowledge and culture industry.

TUG success in Engineering led to a foray into the world of Media and Telecoms with the lunch of Communication Trends Ltd CTL to pioneer affordable media and telecoms.
Lunched the revolutionary Multicipher STB in Africa.
Lunched “Supernet300” Africa’s pioneer fixed high speed wireless broadband.
Honored as Nigeria’s pioneer media technology company by the university of Ibadan, Nigeria’s premier university
Became the first African company to be inducted into the United States National Association of Broadcasters NAB “CUSTOMER WALL OF FAME”.
First to be ranked as West Africa’s number one ISP in a local survey of West African ISPs
TUG launched Trend Tv the first Nigerian owned multi channel satellite FTA DTH TV service.

Our History

The Udemba Group TUG takes its roots from a family tradition of
entrepreneurship and leadership which started with the patriarch of the family PaUdemba Onyenuforo who in 1943 set up a road transportation company as one of the pioneer transport companies in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.

TUG Marshall Plan (TMPA)

TUG Marshall Plan for Africa (TMPA) is a metaphor for a private sector led empowerment of post neocolonial Africas by Africans as the USA led Marshall Planof 1948 empowered Postwar Europe. It will be implemented in JV partnerships with technology and financial partners across the Atlantic Ocean, the India ocean and the Mediterranean Sea and in close collaboration with the African private and public sectors.
